Calclens is a small independent project, so every message lands in the same inbox. To help us reply quickly, please include as much context as you can.

Report a calculator error

If a result looks wrong, please include the calculator URL, the inputs you used, the result we showed, and what you expected (with a link to the source if possible).

Suggest a new calculator

Tell us what you’d like to calculate and, if you can, why. We prioritise UK-specific calculators where we can find an authoritative formula.

Bad AI explanation

If an AI explanation gave you misleading, off-topic, or product-recommending content, please share the calculator URL and a screenshot. We test and tweak the prompts continuously.

Privacy or data request

To exercise your UK GDPR rights (access, deletion, correction, etc.), please write “Privacy request” in the subject line. See our privacy policy for what we hold.

Press, partnership, or business

Please include the publication or organisation you represent, the angle or proposal, and any deadline. We’re an independent project, so we read these carefully but reply selectively.

Something else

If none of the above fits, just write. Plain English, no template needed.

What we can’t help with

Calclens is an information tool, not a professional service. We can’t:

  • Give you personalised financial advice — speak to an FCA-authorised adviser, or contact MoneyHelper for free guidance
  • Give you medical advice or diagnosis — speak to your GP or call NHS 111
  • Help with tax filing or HMRC issues — contact HMRC directly or speak to a chartered accountant
  • Provide legal advice — speak to a qualified solicitor; Citizens Advice can help you find one

If you write to us about one of these, we’ll point you toward the right resource, but we can’t take it on ourselves.

Response times

Calclens is built and maintained by one person, so response times vary:

  • Calculator errors — usually replied to within 24 hours, fixed within a few days if confirmed
  • Privacy requests — within 30 days (our legal maximum under UK GDPR, but usually much sooner)
  • Everything else — within two to five working days

If you haven’t heard back after a week, please send a follow-up — your original message may have ended up in spam.
